presents presents oh how i love thee presents

yes, what kid does not enjoy december-time presents? whether it be Christmas presents on the 25th or Hanukkah presents spread out over the course of the month? or the kwanza celebration i am not aware of? yes, i think there is something very primal about kids getting stuff. just some pondering, i got 3 cool games this christmas, plus the epic card (finally!!!!!!!!!!!) interestingly enough, i got a E rated game, a T rated game and a M rated game, so some pretty decent variety. got some other stuff too, but its not really worth mentioning. but my sister got this fun game called apples to apples, and it was quite fun, me and my cousin joined in as well as my uncle and it was silly but intuitive, if that makes sense. not much more to discuss, i am slowly progressing through gardening, having my myth at lvl 5 currently. i really like fly traps and trumpet vines btw, anyways gtg.

woah i have been gone a while....

well its been like two weeks or something, but i have just about finished off my trip in florida and shall be returning to my home state of _____ ( well you know its not florida, so you only got 49 to choose from ) well merry Christ-mas (more Christ in Spanish to english translation) <-- jk for all you people out there that could somehow get offended. so anyways i hope you had a eh to fabulous year ( rating of 5 or higher [eh = 5]) and uh hopefully (if your like me) you will have a better year next. i have been cut short because it is 11:30 and my parents are saying sleeping more instead of less when your sick is better ( which i am btw )

Lol that will be explained on later on in the post. but for now! i am going steadily through gardening (currently
at lvl 3 apprentice) and it is quite fun, and since my last post random objects have been put in my garden, these items have special properties that are like steroids for certain plants. all the hype about secret furniture is quite correct! So, after seeing Arlen's comment, i went to central and saw that nearly all the furniture has been found! 23 items already known, so i found a select few that will be causing me to farm for them (the other, older kind of farming) some of these include the water mole statue, stellar protector statue and the large willow tree just for shiggles. So, i have been trying to mix League of Legends with Wizard101 but it has been difficult, with sleep, homework, work, schoolwork, eating, schoolwork, sleeping and schoolwork did i mention i have a lot of school work?! Speaking of school, my friend Wiley is gonna start playing W101 finally! but he told me this thing at school and it wasn't so bad, since all he said was "Hey Mat, go on Google and search Define: Kaster" and then i did it and O.o it was scarring/creepy as hell.

But onto a happier subject, i went over to my cousin's house today to open presents since we are going to florida soon and so we wanted to have our relatives in town have a pre-christmas party. So i got some pretty cool things including some wrap-around tron earmuffs, some beast black slippers which bottoms adjuct to your foot, and some other cool things. i know your probably saying "well matt those things are all good and well but where are the video games and electronics?!!?! this is the 21st century i think!" Well, i am getting all that jazz in florida. So about the Title of this Post, it was one of the things i got, and i will try to find a picture on the internet to give you an idea:

Housing item of the day: Marleybonian driller

yes everyone has seen those cool drillers in the Celestian base camp, and most have wanted them as furniture items, but today it is a reality! when i ported to my long time housing rival/ best friend, i saw some more interesting CL drops including, but not limited to brain coral, a strange celestian fern that was like a peacock's tail feathers and this driller! it was so amazing! unfortunately he had to go soon so i didnt get the chance to take a picture but i told him i really liked it and he said he had two of them so he was willing to auction one to me, and i was really happy and i thanked him a bunch and then we went to the  bazaar. well it turned out to be quite expensive; 5925 gold to be exact, but it was well worth it! so i immediately got a funny idea involving it. so here is "woody" drilling into my mooshu ground looking for resources:

in  other news, i have heard some rumors that may be true coming from both a fellow blogger and a friend who's name shall remain anonymous that certain items placed next to plants are "secret" likes and can speed up both the time between stages of plant life and shorten the time between harvests. i shall make a controlled experiment so see if this is true with 2 boom shrooms, and expect by next post whether or not this is fact or mumbo jumbo!

Capable houses

well it appears some houses are more capable of gardening then others, for when i started gardening in my small mooshu home, i could only plant 10 things, but in my DS home only 5 plots or seeds can be planted total:

and then in my Myth House it has space for 100 gardening spots! this is such a variety i thought it must be a bug or just down right strange.

further investigations of the other houses is obviously needed, which i will do for the most part unless someone has information on a house.

well currently i haven't seen a single rank 9 or 10 plant in existence, whether it be in the bazaar on a boss drop or anywhere. post if you have any speculation, ideas or actual plants you have seen of the rank 9 or 10 variety. sorry this was a short post!

a pity but also good! gardening comes to the live realm

well i finally was able to buy some venus fly traps today, and to think i was gonna get a montrous amount of xp from my large garden, because nearly all of it was almost elder. but enough reminiscing! we are gonna have celestian furniture (:D) and gardening and what i learned is that in order to keep it under control its gonna be like this:
my garden  < 8 plants

for you younger readers this means that i will have less then 8 plants in my garden at all times. yes, it does mean i wont have an epic garden and gain 3 levels every time i harvest, but if i scale too big i know i will be wasting my time, energy and house space for a load of wilting/dead plants.

Ahhhhh! the garden is overpowering me!

well i logged on this morning and found lots of commotion, lots of whining and lots of pests (normal by now), and even after draining out 65 energy (the last 5 didn't refill in time from last night), i still had several plants with one ONLY one need not taken care of, and i fear for the worst. but it is easy to revive wilting plants because all you do is give them what they want and then they go back to young adult. and  the plants that are getting closer to elder are my priority because then i have less to take care of. yes my strategy is increasingly more risky but, eh this is the test realm, where spending 30,000 gold and about 500 pet energy over the course of a week is OK! btw one of my boom shrooms is broken:

i noticed that even though i could harvest it indefinitely, it only gave me 15-50 gold and either red mandrake or deep mushroom and NO experience. After about 30 harvests i got bored and ported to Dakota hence the small garden in the background. when i came back, the shroom was fixed and wasn't darker colored like it was when it was spamming harvest.

This gardening is turning into a gamble

well all my things are now adult, and while 90% of my plants get what they want, i am wondering if soon some plants are going to die or something. i am wondering if i can outlast their death by having some turn elder and then lowering the amount of plants to tend for. this is a gamble, because i am betting some of the rank 2 and 3 plants are more sensitive and probably die faster. well we will just have to see how this turns out. i haven't been able to harvest anything at a mature stage yet except boom shrooms and honey sickles. even though i have harvested 3 sickles, 4 shrooms, 2 laugh-o-dils, and 2 bread trees  for a total of 43 exp, it didn't even change the bar of experience, so i am starting to get daunted by it. here is a picture of my daunting garden:

hmm server maintenance for some reason

well there was a server maintenance, i didnt notice much difference afterwards, except that the plants who liked to go slightly off the pots were easier to give plant spells. well not much else, i am waiting in excitement for my garden to mature, most of it is mature now, just needs a while to harvest.

and i can almost make the crab claw statue, which is one of my favorite released CL furniture items, just need a little bit more sunstone, so if you wanna farm Tots with me for that sunstone feel free! post a time and place to meet bye guys

well most of my garden is in the young adult stage, but my boom shrooms and honey sickles have had a spurt of growth and are already mature:

Gardening adventures

well today i had some nice gardening adventures. I saw some rare plants available in the bazaar, such as the ember boom shroom or  something like that which only rank 8+ gardeners could plant, and i also went to paige's house where i saw lots of high rank plants. by far my favorites there were her cluster of venus fly traps one of each variety, and she said that while they are young they all look the same which is funny because the frozen fly trap which is a different color entirely follows this rule. i got a snap shot where it appears they are fighting:

yea pretty awesome, i am surprised they don't need a large plot, but if they did then we couldnt keep them inside ;). also i found this out by accident while i was trying to move some pots with plants in them. i was able to move the pot but not the plant, so the plant floated in the air, and this got me thinking about the possibilities. for 1. you can save so much space since you wouldnt have to try and fit in the garden gnomes around the pot, you could just put it underneath!

now this got me thinking even further, imagine a house in the near future with a room with multi level floating plants with garden gnomes underneath each column of plants! to help explain my thinking look to the picture (note: this is my first piece of fan work so don't be surprised if you find it a bit bad):

glorious isn't it? no i am kidding, i had a small amount of time to make that so, dont judge me. or you can if you like. i don't mind. So next post i will explain how to make your pots, pans (jk)  and plants float, and we will see how it affects the growth process.

strange item and regenerating ice?

note: skip over this next paragraph if you don't want to hear my philosophizing about internet socialization.

what i have noticed as a recurring theme in socialization on Wizard101, FB, etc. etc. is that most people often use phrases such as lol and xD to break the awkward tension surrounding a conversation so that they feel normal and stay true to the pattern of the attitude of the people around them, but recently i am have been seeing people say these phrases every other sentence in the worst cases. These people are frequently having to break the stagnant ice of awkwardness hence the title regenerating ice. If you were able to stick through that paragraph to the end then i applaud you, for i was starting to lose myself.

on a more comical note,

i saw a strange item in the cr0wns $hop today, it looked like the main piece of unique backround stuff of the larger krok house, and it was for sale for 1250 crowns:

if anyone has bought this, could you comment and describe what it is, how big it is and maybe provide a picture?

2 strange bugs

well i found two bugs, one that is very annoying and one that doesn't really matter.

and yet, on the test realm it is fine, and it doesnt for some odd reason let me move it over or do anything to it.
ah well, i hope KI sees this because i already reported the bug. ooh and i am excited about the christmas hat! i just love how KI releases collectibles and other awesome stuff.

well i have been drawn into League of Legends from some of my friends, and well it is addictive! said reason is why i didn't post yesterday. well i have decided that unless you are willing to buy tons of pet energy and waste loads of crowns, small gardens are the best. so even though you would level slower, who is counting? its not a competition and when it goes live we will have as much time as we need to level up our gardens and have fun while doing so. on that subject i decided to have fun with the moolinda treasure card pack, here is me summoning the light of god (not really):

housing item of the day- star chalice

well i finally got around to herding up the last of the things i needed to make this glorious item:
 so there i went and did it. its quite pretty i certainly suggest it if your are
a) a avid furniture collector
b) you like fun but rewarding crafting things
c) you got some time on your hands
d) some or all of the above
yes there is no doubt it would make a great centerpiece to any collection. why do i not show you a picture of a said collection? because i want you to use your imagination. but just so you know what you would be working with:

you cant really see the star in that photo. eh there are plenty of other stars in that picture. so anyways i was looking for a good place to put it when i noticed this:

yes, it seems when you put it behind something transparent you can see the chalice but not the star or the light that is suspending the star! here is another example of it:

oh and i am not sure if you can see it, but i met up with paige in the commons this morning and she had a intermediate gardener badge! see i am not crazy (well maybe a little...) i am so far behind! you can see me sporting that neophyte badge, but i am just not worthy (bows to paige)

well i decided since all you other bloggers out there are getting to the upper echolons of gardening i would follow suit (or at least attempt to) so i have expanded my garden! check it:

rofl i saw a silly person on youtube who made something with the above mentioned name (minus the hmm) it was...................................................................................................... strange to say the least. so anyways i have been farming for a headress because i am saving my crowns for an unknown reason i cannot relay across this unsecured line. jk  i am acting strange today huh? ah you'll just have to deal with me because.... idk just do so please. anyways i am reading some anime manga (i dont know the difference) its pretty good, a bit melodramatic but interesting it is called deathnote. my friend wes said it was decent so i picked up the first one and it is good but they go by so quickly i am already in the seventh and i only read for like an hour or so a day and i started yesterday so yea.... uh that is all worth mentioning i believe. oh! all my crops are still mature adults but dont wanna be harvested :/ i am probably the only blogger who is still a novice >.<

myth spell #2 troll

sorry its one day late guys:

Ah troll, a beast so firmly rooted in myth we sometimes forget it is so ancient because of one of the newest memes calling someone a troll. a troll has had many forms and descriptions through the years, ranging from 10 foot tall beasts with tusks and a menacing look to human sized creatures with floppy ears and a puzzled look upon their faces. Most of the time they carry some form of crude weapon like a club, tree trunk or lamppost (modern times games, long story). The first people who portrayed trolls were the Old Scandinavian people describing trolls as vast, ugly, hairy giants or ogres with an evil intention. Next to mention trolls were ancient Greeks, as large stupid beasts who were quite strong, yet easily outsmarted. The Romans followed a similar path, giving them big droopy noses, an anguished look on their faces and swinging wildly at anything that moved. Then talk of trolls ceases for what I know (I am writing this right now on a word document without internet connection so all of this is what I can remember and just know in general about said beasts.) and they are mentioned here and there scattered over places and times where things that resemble trolls are mentioned. Some of these cultures are Aborigines, Inuit and Iqaluit.

Now, to the spell. I found that troll was easily capable of one hit killing most of the monsters in wizard city without even being powered up. There are examples of some creatures, that when powered up with a myth trap can be killed by troll. Some examples of this is the scarlet screamer, cyclops centurion, elf pathfinder and skeletal warrior. There are only 2 creatures in all of normal Wizard City (not including sunken city I mean) that a powered up troll cannot kill in one hit. These are the field guards who have quite a large amount of health for wizard city creatures (395) and War horns because of their mid-high health coupled with myth resist. Progressing into Krok they can wound or kill most of the creatures in the pyramid of the sun and some creatures in the Kroksphinx. After this they start to lose their importance and usefulness but they do serve well for finishing moves when a wand isn't strong enough.

Rofl lvl 2 pvp

so i was messing around and  i thought.. i bet pvp at lvl 1 is easy... but there are some things you got to know a few things about it.
(1 get a pet from your other chracters that gives an attack card varying in pip need from 2-4
(2 get a wand that you have that is good for a beginner wand. for example i use umbra blade because it is 75 damage and doesn't have a level limit.
(3 learn your level 2 spell because it can give you an edge.
(4 and i hate to admit this but, a huge part of very low level ranked pvp is treasure cards. so get some. i prefer polymorph because they give strong cards and a lot more health.
i'll post my rank in a few days, i am still fine tuning somethings.
